Inflatable 2nd-row safety belts 1 (for outboard rear- seat occupants) reduce injury risk in certain collisions by distributing crash force energy across 5 times more of an occupant’s body. They join 6 standard airbags to enhance driver and passenger protection.

The all-new 2015 Ford F-150 is engineered to be the safest F-150 ever. Starting with a masterful mix of high- strength aluminumalloys that forman intricate safety cage around the passenger compartment. Front-impact protection is improved through a new 12-sided design in the high-strength-steel front-frame horn, which helps to dissipate crash energy during a frontal impact. Additional through-welded crossmembers bolster side-impact protection. An extruded rocker reinforcement helps reduce cab intrusion in certain front- and side- impact collisions. Roof strength is reinforced by a hydroformed roof rail supported by an extruded closed- section roof bow.
