Vehicle driving

Parking and steering assistance Brake This vehicle is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. Pressing or releasing the brake pedal will engage or disengage the service brake. Every time the vehicle is started, the brake pedal must be lightly pressed to enter "READY" mode. Once "READY" mode is engaged, the brake assist system activates, causing the brake pedal force to become softer and more linear than when the vehicle is off. Brake screech: During the morning startup, environmental temperature, humidity, and brake disc temperature may occasionally cause a few brake screeches. This is a normal phenomenon, which subsides after a few applications of the brakes as the brake disc temperature increases, without affecting braking performance. Please proceed with confidence. Brake creep noise: Slowly release the brake pedal when starting, engage the accelerator with automatic parking activated, lightly press the brake pedal while maneuvering the steering wheel, or during instant low-speed braking. The energy release between the brake disc and friction pad might produce a "gong gong" or "squeak" noise. In conditions like inclines, rainy weather, or rust on the brake discs, brake creep noise becomes evident, which is a normal occurrence and doesn't impair braking performance. Use without concern. Warning! Ensure all brake system indicators are functioning properly before driving. The brake pads have a wear indicator device; a metal scraping noise (spring clip scraping the brake disc) during braking requires immediate maintenance at an authorized service center. Do not drive once the brake pads have worn to their limit, else accidents are highly probable. Electronic parking brake (EPB) Common EPB functions: static parking, departure assist, high-temperature clamp reset, slope clamp reset, dynamic parking, and automatic parking upon power off. Once the vehicle is stationary, press the P gear button or select [Vehicle Center] - [Safety and Maintenance] - [Electronic Parking Brake EPB] on the central control display screen. The parking brake engages and the EPB indicator on center console screen illuminates. To release the parking brake: press the brake pedal, then switch from P gear to D/R/N gear, disengaging electronic parking and extinguishing the indicator. It is normal for the motor to generate a sound when engaging and disengaging the parking brake. Warning! When the driver exits the vehicle, please ensure parking in P gear for safety and reliability. If the fault indicator illuminates, please reach out to an authorized service center for repair. Departure assistance function (DAA)
