Vehicle driving

Caution

 While ACC is operating, a braking sound may occur, and the brake pedal may harden when ACC decelerates the vehicle (but you can still control deceleration by pressing the brake pedal), both of which are normal phenomena.  Towing other vehicles can diminish the performance of ACC.  Structural alterations to vehicles, such as lowering the chassis height or changing the front license plate mounting, can reduce ACC performance and may even render ACC inoperative.  Non-structural vehicle modifications, such as applying vehicle film, may diminish ACC performance and potentially render it unusable. The radar used by the ACC system may not accurately detect the target vehicle or may detect it late in the following situations (not limited to), preventing effective vehicle speed and distance control. Please promptly assume manual control of the vehicle and deactivate ACC if necessary: 1. Passing through a curve When the vehicle enters or exits a bend, the radar may not detect vehicles in the same lane ahead or may detect vehicles in adjacent lanes while driving through the curve.

2. Situations where irregular vehicles, objects, and animals cannot be identified The system cannot detect items or accessories loaded on the vehicle ahead that exceed its body side, rear, or roof, nor can it accurately identify irregular objects and animals (including but not limited to cones, carts, and animals).
