Travel preparation

Open the front hood

1. Pull the front hood unlock handle located on the lower left side of the instrument panel, and the front hood will be slightly elevated.

2. Push the handle to the right and gently lift the front hood a certain distance; the support rod will automatically secure the front hood. Warning! Ensure the vehicle is locked and the parking brake is engaged before opening the front hood. Before opening the front hood, ensure the windshield wipers are resting against the windshield to prevent potential damage to the wipers or the front hood. Close the front hood Use both hands to close the front edge of the front hood, quickly pulling it down from approximately 40 cm high to accelerate closure beyond a natural drop speed. Withdraw hands before closure to avoid pinching, after which the hood will lock securely when it contacts the latch. Check for gaps between the hood and sealing strip post-closure. If not securely shut, use the opening procedure to reopen and close the hood again.
