Side airbag deployment conditions The following scenarios are based on laboratory standard collision test conditions in which the side airbags will deploy. The actual deployment is determined by whether the vehicle's overall deceleration at the collision moment meets the deployment criteria. 1. When a vehicle is side-impacted by another vehicle weighing 950 kilograms or more at a right angle, with an instantaneous impact speed exceeding 25 km/h.

2. When the vehicle laterally collides with a stationary, non-deforming cement column with a diameter greater than 254 millimeters, with an instantaneous impact speed exceeding 35 km/h.

Under the following actual driving conditions, the side airbags may deploy: 1. During driving, when colliding with steps, road shoulders, or similar protruding obstacles.

2. During driving, when the body descends from a height and impacts the ground.
