Range-Rover-Evoque-Brochure
LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIALS Starting at just 1,746kg and using a range of advanced lightweight materials, Range Rover Evoque is the lightest Range Rover ever. There are key weight- saving materials throughout the vehicle, including a magnesium cross car beam, aluminium bonnet and, on the Coupé and Five-door body styles, also the roof. The front fenders and tailgate assembly are constructed from composite materials. Even the laminated windscreen is reduced in weight to help improve fuel efficiency, performance and handling. STOP/START All engines feature intelligent Stop/Start technology that automatically shuts down the engine at rest and starts it again as soon as the brake pedal is released. This helps to reduce fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions.
LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT In order to minimise the vehicle’s overall ecological impact, Range Rover Evoque is designed with a life cycle approach, aiming to minimise the environmental impact by considering the entire life cycle of the vehicle: from development and manufacturing, through customer use, to end-of-life recycling and re-use. Each element of the life cycle was analysed with a view to consuming fewer natural resources, using more sustainable materials and minimising the generation of waste.
