ALL TERRAIN PROGRESS CONTROL

LOW TRACTION LAUNCH Range Rover Sport features a dedicated launch function which enables the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on tricky low-friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass ELECTRONIC AIR SUSPENSION Range Rover Sport features an electronic air suspension system which delivers class-leading comfort and capabilities both on and off-road. The system automatically switches between two ride heights when the off-road setting is selected. Maximum ground clearance is increased by 65mm above normal ride height at speeds less than 50kph. The suspension system delivers impressive wheel travel with 260mm of movement at the front and 272mm at the rear, providing exceptional wheel articulation and composure to deal with the toughest conditions.

With over 65 years of all-terrain expertise, this vehicle has Land Rover capability at its heart. Our unique 4-mode Terrain Response system enables the driver to optimise the vehicle’s engine, gearbox, centre differential and chassis systems to match the demands of the terrain, by selecting one of the easily identifiable driving modes. The optional Terrain Response 2 system enhances this even further by monitoring driving conditions and automatically selecting the driving modes to achieve the best possible chassis and powertrain set up for the conditions. It also includes additional Rock Crawl Mode. An optional sixth setting is available when Terrain Response 2 with Dynamic Mode is specified. Dynamic Mode tunes the suspension to deliver even tighter body control with flatter handling and sharper responses.

All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) is a state-of-the- art optional system that enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions. Operating like a cruise control system, it functions at very low speeds between 2kph and 30kph, enabling the driver to maintain full concentration on steering and finding a path through obstacles. Developed by Land Rover’s industry-leading all-terrain specialists, the system works seamlessly alongside the Terrain Response 2 and 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) traction and braking systems. Once ATPC is activated, the standard steering wheel +/- cruise control buttons are used to set the speed. Brake and accelerator pedals can still override the chosen settings, with gentle braking achieving a reduction in speed.
