Vehicle Driving
• The rear brake emits a motor operating sound for about 2 seconds.
WARNING
If you need to tow, please be sure to click [Vehicle Center] - [Safety Maintenance] - [ Tow Mode] on the central control display to release Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) (for details, please refer to the "Emergency Rescue - Post - Accident Towing - Tow Mode" section). If you do not enable the tow mode for tow, the vehicle will be damaged.
Automatic Parking Function (AUTO HOLD)
AUTO HOLD helps the driver to park the vehicle automatically. When the function is activated, the light on the central control display will illuminate and the vehicle will not roll away even if the driver releases the brake pedal.
AUTO HOLD helps the driver in the following situations:
• When starting off, especially on a steep slope;
• Moving a vehicle on a steep slope;
• When the vehicle needs to wait while driving on the road.
Working conditions of AUTO HOLD:
• The vehicle is completely stationary;
• The central control display shows READY;
• The main driver's door is closed;
• The driver's seat belt is fastened or the driver's seat senses that someone is sitting;
• Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) brake fault indicator does not illuminate;
• The ESC system is on and has no faults;
• Depress the brake pedal deeply.
When the vehicle tends to slide down a slope after AUTO HOLD is activated, AUTO HOLD will automatically increase the pressure on the brake system to prevent the vehicle from moving. At this time, there will be the sound of the ESC motor working. If the vehicle shows signs of slipping for the second time, AUTO HOLD will automatically switch to Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), which is normal. When the vehicle starts, if AUTO HOLD is working, it will be released only when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
CAUTION
When the operating conditions of AUTO HOLD and Hill Hold Control (HHC) are met at the same time, AUTO HOLD is activated first with on the central display lights up. After AUTO HOLD continues to work for about 3 minutes, it will automatically switch to Electronic Parking Brake (EPB).
