Vehicle Driving
• The vehicle has been involved in a collision;
• ACC performance is degraded (if the distance to the target is abnormally shortened or the vehicle in the lane next to the vehicle is often misidentified); • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) malfunctions (such as frequent false alarms or braking, etc.).
CAUTION
Improper maintenance of the front end of the vehicle may cause change in the position of the radar, thereby affecting the function of ACC. Therefore, maintenance work must be carried out by a Changan Automobile authorized dealer.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control System (IACC)
Overview of the system
IACC detects the vehicle ahead and lane lines through the front millimeter - wave radar installed behind the front bumper and interior rearview mirror. It controls the vehicle speed to keep the vehicle at the set cruising speed or maintain the pre - set following time and distance interval with the vehicle ahead, and controls the steering to keep the vehicle within the lane. Please read and familiarize yourself with the entire contents of this chapter before using IACC. At any time, the driver has priority control of the vehicle. In the following situations, the driver needs to promptly identify the danger and cancel IACC and control the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal, shifting the lever upward, taking over steering wheel control, etc. to ensure driving safety: 1. The vehicle does not maintain a sufficient safety distance from the vehicle in front or in the adjacent lane;
2. The assisted steering is not enough to negotiate the curve safely;
3. When the vehicle is in a situation where IACC operation is restricted.
WARNING
When using IACC, the driver must hold the steering wheel with both hands and observe the road conditions in front, rear and surroundings of the vehicle at all time. Even when IACC is in use, the driver always bears ultimate responsibility for safely and legally controlling the vehicle, to ensure it stay within its lane, and drive at the correct distance and speed. Failure to use IACC correctly as required may cause traffic accidents such as collisions between the vehicle and surrounding objects or vehicles.
