Maintenance and Self - service
1. Adjust the tire pressure of one or more tires;
2. Removal or replacement of any tire/wheel;
3. After one year or 10,000 km, tires need to be inflated and relearned (recommended).
Replacing with wheels other than those specified by Changan Automobile may affect the proper operation of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Wheels
Remove and Install Wheel Decorative Covers
1. Remove wheel decorative cover: For the full - coverage low - drag wheel decorative cover, grasp wheel decorative cover with both hands and pull it outwards firmly to release the fixing claws on the back of the cover. For the small decorative cover in the center of the wheel, after the wheel is removed, use a suitable tool to knock the cover out from the center hole on the inside wheel. 2. Install wheel decorative cover: For the full - coverage low - drag wheel decorative cover, align the valve notch of wheel decorative cover with tire valve, and press hard along the entire edge of the cover until it is fully locked into place. For the small decorative cover in the center of the wheel, align the decorative cover with the cover hole in the center wheel and press hard until it is fully engaged. Before driving, make sure wheel decorative covers are fully secured to prevent them from falling off.
Change Wheels
If a wheel is bent, cracked, or severely corroded, the tire may separate from the vehicle and you should replace the wheel promptly.
Notes for Aluminum Wheels
• Be sure to use nuts designed specifically for this kind of wheels.
• After disassembling or replacing wheels, check and confirm that wheel nuts are still tight after driving 1,600 km.
Wheel Dynamic Balance Requirements
Before installing new tires, please complete wheel dynamic balance calibration. If you need to remove tires from wheels, you also need to re - calibrate dynamic balance. After the tire is assembled, use balance blocks to perform dynamic balance calibration. The total number of hook - type balance weights on one side shall not exceed two, and the total weight shall not exceed 60g; The total weight of the single - sided adhesive balance weight shall not exceed 100g. The residual dynamic unbalance on one side shall not exceed 5g. If you are fitting directional tires, you must ensure that the rotation directions of tires are consistent with the rotation directions indicated on tire markings.
