Event Data Recording System (EDR)

This vehicle is equipped with an event data recorder, or EDR.

The EDR controller is located in the airbag control unit. To retrieve data from an EDR, physical access to the vehicle or EDR controller is required. Our company will not disclose the data information recorded by EDR to third parties except in the following circumstances:

• With the consent of the vehicle owner or lessee;

• At the official request of the police, court or government department;

• By our company in legal proceedings.

If necessary, the data information recorded by EDR will be used to:

• Research and development of vehicle safety performance;

• For the purpose of research and development, the data shall be disclosed to a third party without disclosing the information about the owners and their vehicles.
