Tire pressure monitoring system warning message

The tire pressure fault indicator comes on if the tire pressure monitoring system detects low pressure in one or more tires. At this time, please slow down and brake slowly to stop safely, avoid sharp turns, and correct the tire pressure when the tire is cold. The tire pressure of the vehicle is calibrated in a warm environment. The tire pressure fault indicator may light up when entering a cold environment. It is caused by pressure changes caused by temperature changes; it isn’t a system failure. If the Tire Pressure Monitoring System ETPMS fails, the tire pressure fault indicator light will light on. At this time, you should go to a Changan Automobile authorized dealer for inspection and repair as soon as possible. The tire pressure monitoring system can assist the driver to monitor the tire pressure, and can provide a very effective early warning for the vehicle owner, but it can’t completely eliminate the occurrence of accidents. Only the tire pressure displayed during vehicle driving is the current actual measured tire pressure; When the vehicle is stationary, the tire pressure won’t be displayed or the displayed tire pressure is only for reference. When replacing the tire, please go to the CHANGAN Automobile authorized dealer for replacement to avoid damage to the sensor due to incorrect operation. The tire pressure monitoring system shall be self-learning again when changing the tire position to prevent the displayed data from not corresponding to the actual tire position.

Warning Messages of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

CAUTION

The tire pressure of the vehicle is calibrated in a warm environment. The tire pressure fault indicator may light up when entering a cold environment, and vice versa. It is caused by pressure changes caused by temperature changes; it isn’t a system failure. When driving in areas with different temperatures, the four wheels' tire pressures should be checked and calibrated in a timely manner, and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System ETPMS should be reset. Tire Pressure Monitoring System ETPMS can only be reset after calibrating the four tires according to the cold standard tire pressure. After resetting, the system can be learned successfully during vehicle use.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System ETPMS needs to be reset in the following situations:

1. Adjust the tire pressure of one or more tires;

2. Removal or replacement of any tire/wheel;

3. After one year or 10,000 km, tires need to be inflated and relearned Erecommended .

Replacing with wheels other than those specified by Changan Automobile may affect the proper operation of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System ETPMS .
