MASTER MASERATI DRIVING COURSES
It is perhaps the ultimate driving experience: taking to the racetrack in a race-tuned Maserati.
A Master Maserati Driving Course places you behind the wheel of various different Maserati
models, so that you can learn about performance driving and other techniques that will enable
you to appreciate your own Maserati’s performance, whist at the same time improving your
driving skills. The courses are open to existing Maserati owners and potential buyers, and
comprise a combination of theory and practice that has been fine-tuned over the years. They
take place at the Paletti di Varano de’ Melegari, near Parma, a demanding circuit that puts even
the best drivers to the test and which features special driving instruction facilities.The sessions
are run under the expert direction of ex-Formula 1 driver, Ivan Capelli, who is ably assisted by
a highly experienced team of professional instructor-drivers.
There are four types of Master Maserati course:
Master Warm-Up
This course, lasting one day, is intended for those wanting to improve their driving technique
at the wheel of a Maserati, and is the ideal introduction to the more advanced courses. The
overall aim is to enhance the participants’ personal driving skills in an enjoyable yet challenging
environment.
Master GT
This is an all-inclusive two-day course that is spent at the wheel of various different Maseratis.
It comprises a sequence of exciting and dynamic sessions including cornering trajectory tech-
nique, acquisition and analysis of Formula One type telemetry data, and driving with a pace-car.
In addition, delegates are taught how to control the car in different simulated road conditions,
e.g. quick direction changes, skid situations, and emergency braking.
