POWERFUL ENGINES Every XJ engine delivers an outstanding combination of performance, refinement and efficiency. The range extends from a new version of our 3.0 litre V6 Diesel* engine, now with 300PS and 700Nm of torque, and a 3.0 litre V6 340PS Supercharged Petrol to the 5.0 litre V8 470PS, 510PS and 550PS Supercharged Petrol engines. All models feature an 8-speed automatic transmission for responsive, smooth gear changes.

ALL ALUMINIUM CONSTRUCTION XJ's all-aluminium body architecture is not only strong and rigid but also extremely light making the car highly responsive and agile, as well as fuel efficient. Riveted, and without a single welded joint, the 100 percent aluminium monocoque body structure makes this one of the lightest cars in its class and, without any compromise to the integrity of its body, one of the safest.
