Maintenance and self-service
Caution After replacing the spare tire, promptly use a torque wrench to tighten the nuts to a torque of 110 ± 10 Nm. Otherwise, the wheel nuts may loosen and detach, potentially leading to severe accidents. 12. For vehicles equipped with trim nut covers, replace the trim covers. 13. Mount the faulty tire, return all tools to their designated locations, and secure them. Caution 1. The driver's tools provided with the vehicle at the factory are specific to this model and should not be used for other purposes. 2. If replacement of bolts or nuts is needed, ensure they have metric threads and identical chamfer configurations. Mounting non-metric threaded nuts or bolts will damage them and prevent the wheel from securing properly. Before mounting wheel nuts or wheels, carefully verify the type. If in doubt, consult an authorized service center. 3. The spare tire lacks a tire pressure sensor. After driving with the spare tire for a while, the tire pressure warning light will illuminate. Once the spare tire is mounted, promptly visit an authorized service center for tire pressure monitoring and adjustment to the specified levels. Unload the spare tire Use a socket wrench to loosen the bolt on the spare tire trim cover counterclockwise and remove it, then remove the trim cover.
