Vehicle Driving

• Driver braking or active steering;

• The driver presses the accelerator pedal suddenly;

• Power system shutdown;

• The system deems the risk of collision to have been resolved;

• Vehicle instability;

• System initialization;

• ESC system malfunction;

• Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system failure;

• The radar is blocked;

• The camera is blocked.

CAUTION

The system will release the brake after the automatic emergency braking function takes the initiative to brake until the vehicle stops safely for 2s, and the driver must take over the control of the vehicle in time (such as stepping on the brake pedal).

Reverse Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB)

Overview of the system

The reverse cross traffic braking is realized by the side millimeter - wave radar installed on the left and right sides of rear bumper on the vehicle. The reverse cross traffic braking avoids or mitigates the collision by controlling the vehicle's brakes when there is a risk of collision with a vehicle crossing laterally from behind while the vehicle is reversing. If the driver's braking force is insufficient, the reverse cross traffic braking function will assist the driver in braking; If the driver does not react at all, the reverse cross traffic braking function will actively apply the brakes to avoid or reduce damage caused by a collision.

Please read and become familiar with the entire contents of this chapter.

WARNING

The RCTB system can only assist the driver in certain situations. At any time, the driver has the ultimate control over the vehicle and is fully responsible for ensuring the safety of the vehicle. Reverse cross traffic braking only works on the target vehicle that crosses laterally behind the vehicle. It doesn't work on vehicles that are driving in the same direction behind the vehicle, stationary vehicles, pedestrians, animals and other objects on the road, and it may not work on targets with small radar reflections, such as motorcycles and bicycles.

Due to the inherent limitations of the system, false triggering can’t be completely avoided.
