Reverse Cross Traffic Emergency Braking (RCTEB)

The reverse cross traffic emergency braking function is an advanced derivative function of reverse lateral warning function in the rear warning system. It shares the lateral millimeter - wave radar with the Lane Change Detection Assist system to detect vehicles behind. The function triggering range and limitations are the same as those of reverse lateral warning function. Under the premise of meeting the reversing lateral warning function, when the system determines that the vehicle has an inevitable risk of collision with the rear crossing vehicle according to the current reversing situation, the reverse cross traffic emergency braking function will actively work. This function works when the vehicle speed is within the range of 4km/h - 15km/h. The detection principle limitations of Lane Change Detection Assist will also affect the performance of the reverse lateral braking system. The reverse cross traffic braking system is mainly used for parking lot reverse scenarios. Due to the complex driving environment of real - time traffic, roads, weather, etc., the system cannot ensure correct detection under all conditions. In (but not limited to) the following situations, the reverse cross traffic braking system may not be triggered or its performance may be compromised. Please do not rely too much on the reverse cross traffic braking system, and do not deliberately test or wait for it to be triggered: • Severe weather (such as heavy rain, heavy snow, hail, etc.) and slippery road surfaces (such as icy, snowy, wet or waterlogged road sections, etc.). • For the blocked target that cuts in suddenly, and when the angle between the target vehicle and the vehicle exceeds the range set by the function, the target vehicle exceeds the radar detection range, etc. • The radar is affected by the environment (such as electric field interference, underground parking lots, tunnels, iron bridges, rails, construction areas, doors with limited width and height, etc.). • The installation position of the radar changes, such as when subjected to strong vibration or slight impact. WARNING

• When the sensor is blocked by bird droppings, mud, ice, insects, etc.

• Structurally modified vehicles (such as lowering the chassis height, changing the vehicle's front license plate mounting plate, etc.) may reduce the reverse cross traffic braking system's performance or increase the false trigger rate.

System operation

On the central control display screen, click [Vehicle Center] - [Intelligent Driving] - [Safety Assistance] to turn on or off the "Reversing Lateral Assist" function.
