XF's form has been rigorously optimised for aerodynamic efficiency and stability at motorway speeds.
XF cuts through the air – reducing fuel consumption and lowering emissions. Every element exploits
the exterior's maximum aerodynamic potential while preserving XF's stunning proportions. Vertical
apertures in the front bumper outer edges channel air through vents in the wheel arches and out over
the front wheels. The airflow then passes along XF's sides where the doors have a flatter cross sectional
profile to minimise air pressure differences and contribute further to reduced drag. Even the extensive
under body protection is designed to make XF as efficient, economical and refined as possible.
