Maintenance and self-service

 Rear view mirror Ensure the rear view mirror's reflective surface is clean and adjustable.  All doors, back doors, and front hoods Verify that all doors, back doors, and front hoods can be opened and closed smoothly, and are securely locked.  Body exterior Check the body's exterior for any paint chips or scratches, and address them immediately to prevent corrosion of the exposed metal.  Headlights Ensure all vehicle lighting systems, including headlights, taillights, sidelights, turn signals, brake lights, fog lights, optional roof spotlights, and optional campsite lights, are functioning correctly.  High-voltage components Check the battery, motor, and high-voltage harness for proper function.
