Maintenance and self-service

Body accessory maintenance Lubricate door and window seals at least annually. Use a clean cloth to apply silicone oil (recommend Krupp MR3-500) on rubber seals, enhancing durability, sealing, and preventing bonding or squeaking. For long-term storage, spray silicone lubricant on all door and trunk seals, and apply car wax to the paint at seal joints to prevent sticking. Regularly clean and lubricate door hinges, door checkers, lock buckles, door lock ratchet and lock interface, engine hood hinges, and locks using an air gun or cleaning cloth. Regularly check lock and door lock mounting; adjust lock buckle or reassemble door lock for centering. Regularly use an air gun to clear dust from inside door locks and apply oil. Regularly verify alignment of front and rear door waistlines with side panel waistlines, using door hinge adjustments for correction. Automobile corrosion protection Causes of automobile corrosion The primary causes of automobile corrosion include:  Accumulation of salt, dirt, moisture, and chemicals in inaccessible areas of the car chassis, body, or frame over time.  Accidents can cause paint peeling, scratches, or other damages, as well as abrasions from rocks and gravel;  High humidity accelerates corrosion. Long-term exposure of any vehicle part to high humidity can cause corrosion, even if other parts remain dry. Poor ventilation under high humidity prevents quick drying, accelerating area corrosion. Effectively prevent car corrosion Maintain regular cleanliness and dryness of the car. During comprehensive body maintenance, check and clean the doors and drainage holes at the bottom of the body using warm or cold water. Ensure the drainage holes remain unobstructed. If the paint on the car's surface gets damaged or peels off, promptly repair the affected area to prevent metal exposure to air. Regularly check the car's interior to ensure it is clean and dry. Moisture, dust, and debris under the mats can accelerate corrosion. Special containers should be used when transporting corrosive materials (such as acids, alkalis, salts, fertilizers, etc.), and the vehicle should be cleaned immediately after unloading. After driving on salted roads during winter, wash the vehicle promptly. Avoid parking the vehicle in damp or poorly ventilated areas, and refrain from washing the car inside the garage.
