Upon a sufficiently strong frontal collision, the pretensioners activate, retracting the seat belt webbing to ensure optimal restraint of rear passengers, providing maximum protection. When the seat belt pretensioner is activated, it may produce a loud noise and generate smoke and dust. This is normal and non-toxic, but may cause skin irritation or respiratory discomfort. Ensure proper ventilation and clean exposed skin thoroughly. Airbags Overview of airbags Airbags are integral components of the supplemental restraint system (SRS). The airbag system serves as a supplementary protective device and should not replace seat belts. Always fasten your seat belt, adjust your seat position, and maintain correct posture while driving. In the event of severe collision, the airbag deploys between the occupants and interior components, forming a cushioning barrier that mitigates injury. Danger! The airbag is specifically calibrated for your vehicle model and should not be randomly replaced to avoid system malfunction. Following airbag deployment or after 10 years of vehicle usage, the entire airbag system must be replaced to ensure proper functionality. Unauthorized removal, modification, or damage to the airbag or its components is strictly forbidden. Such actions can lead to system malfunction, compromised protection, and unintended deployment during accidents, resulting in serious injury or fatality. Should the airbag system fault, promptly contact an authorized service center for repairs. Avoid unauthorized maintenance to prevent inadvertent injury. Danger! The vehicle features airbag markings at mounting sites. Avoid placing or attaching items in the airbag vicinity. Ensure no personnel, pets, or objects are situated between occupants and the airbag. Refrain from smoking while driving, as airbag deployment poses a burn risk. Children under 12 should be seated in the rear and use appropriate child safety restraints. Introduction to airbag operation The airbag indicator must display a normal status.
